Energy and the Environment Research Lab (EERL) at Cornell University is interested in recruiting student interns to join an ongoing project to form a state-wide Internet of Things (IoT) network. A short description of this project can be found at the Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future, within 2018 awards under “Bridging the NYS Rural and Urban Divide through a Public ‘Internet of Things’”. These students, along with the rest of the Engagement team, will collect information from and form continuing relationships with members of Cornell Cooperative Extension offices in counties throughout New York, as well as continue the process of installing IoT hardware as a way to track resource usage in these offices. Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in sustainable energy and community engagement, and be able to work closely with an interdisciplinary team and outside groups to continuously improve the hardware and software. Those who are interested in this opportunity should send their resumes to the lead of the project, Alfredo Rodriguez, email@example.com.
